Welcome to Joe's MBA Guide

Hi everybody, and welcome to Joe's MBA Guide. This is a big step in life for me, and I wanted to chronicle the whole process, and get your help and hopefully be a resource for those of you who are in the same situation as me! Now what situation is that? Well, I've decided that it's time to go back to school. I have an undergraduate degree, and a decent job, but I feel like it's not enough. I feel like the next step that I should take is to return to school, and get my MBA. I've already started looking at schools, and I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. However, it's going to be a long journey, with a lot of decisions to make, and things to learn.

There are so many things I need to learn about. Some of the things I've put on the list are:
  • Picking the right school.
  • Preparing for and taking the GMAT.
  • Getting financial aid... will my job pay for it? How will I pay for this?
  • What classes to take... what concentration do I want?
  • Part time or full time?
  • What kind of career opps are there for me after getting my MBA.
I'm sure there are so many more things that I don't realize I need to think about. Now by no means am I new to the internet... I have quite a few other blogs and sites that I work on, but I won't mention them here for now. This is much more of a personal journey for me, but I am hoping that the things I learn here, what I may do wrong and may do right might help someone out in the future. If I can make that kind of impact while doing this, I'll be happy. If anything.. this guide might help out others in my family, or maybe even my kids. I don't know. But you'll be hearing from me again soon! I welcome any help, tips, or questions you might offer!
